AFCEA Description:

Wreaths Across America Program

REMEMBER the fallen… HONOR those who serve… TEACH our children the value of freedom.

Arlington is where the Wreaths Across America program began. Starting in 1992, our Founder and his family placed wreaths each December in a different section as a way of saying ‘Thank You’ to our nation’s servicemembers. This private gift went on for many years before the public knew. In 2007, Wreaths Across America the national nonprofit was founded to expand upon this effort to include communities and citizens across the country.

Today, it is our goal to continue to honor ALL those laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery each December. Our volunteers are committed to Remembering and Honoring our nation’s veterans through the laying of wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each veteran aloud.

Please help Wreaths Across America reach our goal by sponsoring a veteran’s wreath for placement by volunteers on Saturday, December 14, 2024.

Thank you for supporting Wreaths Across America’s efforts at Arlington National Cemetery!
