Description: South Korea’s April 10 general elections will be a vote of confidence in the Yoon government and shape the political landscape for the next presidential election in 2027. More immediately, the outcome will determine whether Yoon will have the momentum to forge ahead with his various policies, including his foreign policy. What does the outcome of the elections tell us about the prospects of the Yoon government’s ability to effectively implement its policies? How might the outcome affect the various US-ROK alliance issues and inter-Korean relations over the next three years, especially in light of the upcoming US presidential election?
