Elliott School of International Affairs | In-Person Event

Description: On April 20th, the International Affairs Society in partnership with the China Development Student Think Tank will be hosting an expert panel of Professors from The George Washington University, Georgetown University, American University, and the President of the US-China Education Trust, Madlyn Ross. These experts will explore the prospects of future US-China cooperation in global challenges, international business, and cross-cultural education. Since 1979, the US and China have engaged in multifaceted collaboration across various sectors, including trade, investment, education, and scientific research. Cultural exchanges and educational programs have fostered people-to-people ties, while joint efforts in environmental conservation and public health have underscored the importance of international cooperation in addressing shared challenges. With the mounting tensions between China and the US, the prospects of this continued cooperation will be critical in continued stable US-China relations.
